Lydia Cox, Master Dog Trainer
Hi, I’m the owner and operator of Complete Canine—a journey that began the moment I could walk. From an early age, I was drawn to animals—dogs, cats, horses—and took every opportunity I could to work with them. I begged family, friends, and even strangers to let me train or care for their dogs. Before I had access to professional tools or formal education, I relied on folk wisdom, trial and error, and eventually YouTube to learn everything I could. Later I studied at Highland Canine International school for dog trainers to become certified as a Master Dog Trainer.
My passion runs deeper than just training for results. I’m fascinated by how dogs think, how they communicate, and how a well-trained dog can completely transform the energy and harmony of a home. That connection is what drives me.
Complete Canine is inspired by my own dogs: Finn, my loyal golden retriever, and Crutch, my dual-purpose Belgian Malinois service dog. After surviving a traumatic sexual assault, Crutch became my lifeline. Training him gave me purpose and healing. From that bond, I poured my heart into dog training—first under the name “Lydia’s Dog Training,” which later grew into what is now Complete Canine.
Our logo is a tribute to both of my boys—it features their ears, a daily reminder of the love and loyalty they gave me during my darkest hours. Every day, I strive to offer that same love, understanding, and support to every dog and owner who walks through our doors.

Hi! I’m a contractor with Complete Canine, specializing in puppy development programs as well as full on- and off-leash obedience training.
My journey into the dog training world began with my service dog prospect, Lola. While she ultimately had to retire due to reactivity, working with her sparked a deep passion in me for the training process and the powerful bond it builds between dog and handler.
That passion only grew as I continued training my hound mix, Hoagie, and later stepped into the working dog world with Azriel, my driven German Shepherd from strong working lines.
I’ve been with Complete Canine for about eight months now, and I can confidently say this company is built on a foundation of genuine love, loyalty, and a deep commitment to both dogs and their people. I’m proud to be part of a team that puts heart into everything we do.
